FINANCIAL REPORTING

The San Luis Valley Ecosystem Council (SLVEC) takes financial reporting very seriously as required by the Internal Revenue Service to be a 501c3 Not-for-Profit Corporation. There are many layers of reporting required. To ensure this accountability, we follow these guidelines:  SLVEC Policy and Procedures Manual.

SLVEC also follows Independent Sector's Principles for Good Governance and Ethical Practice.

Financial Statements are reviewed quarterly at SLVEC Board meetings and approved by our Board of Directors.
